I'm not so sure about that. The Million dollar purse would have been the highest of his career, and he's made nothing even close to that ever since.

It made no sense for his career from any position to turn down that rematch.

i know it doesnt make sense. Marquez has some really incompetent management. Ill look for the article but i remember reading marquez thinking he deserved more cash for that bout through his management and it ****ed everything up for him

hmm, i have to agree and disagree with you in some way...

i agree that pac is much impoved, and that a rematch with JMM will be very likely with a vacant WBC belt left by barrera...

i disagree though that it will be a walk in the park for manny... in the last fight (pac-em2), i was quite worried in the early rounds when pac was repeatedly hit by powerful counter hooks to the face... remember JMM, though old and shyt, is the best counter puncher in boxing... and he has power too so we better not underestimate him...

what we'll rolly see is a much more exciting fight thatn the first one... even if JMM counters all night, we won't see a straight left trigger happy pac like the first fight... this could be quite technical fight IMO

He neutralized Pacs left, and if Pac can't land his left, and the other guy can box like JMM, Pac is in trouble. Granted Pac has improved since then but, JMM won't get tired like Morales did, and allow Pacs lethal left to get through.

I'm gonna get **** for this, but I pick JMM to beat Pac in a rematch, if they were to fight again.

i didnt say that its an easy fight for Pac against JMM. I will agree it will be a technical fight with mix of brawling like the Pacman-Morales 2. Its the first fight i ever seen Pac very patient, the fight was very technical.

Pac vs JMM will end a brutal TKO like Morales. Pac has a new style right now, he wont rush you in like an ambush, he will break you down apart round by round. With superior power,speed,chin and stamina it wont be easy for JMM to handle this lil guy again.
