I can see how a close fight like that could be scored either way, but I'm not sure that the ref gave Marquez any gifts. He got up well after every knock down. On none of the three did he look like he was unable to continue. If he would've done a Judah chicken dance or something I would question the ref's decision. -
I totally agree, watching good counter punchers is a thing of beauty.Originally posted by mexigafI actually enjoy watching a good counter puncher. I saw the jmm pacquiao fight and its a blueprint to beat manny. While morales is a sound boxer he is not at the level of jmm. Marquez is much more technical and has great timing. Given that Marquez has already adjusted to manny's unorthodox attack I think he can box him to a decision.
When i say that marquez is a better boxer it means that he is a more technical fighter
If you actually box, watching great technicians like JMM is quite enjoyable.Comment

What is impressive is that Marquez made the necessary adjustments during a course of just one round (the second round). I think Pacman will be in trouble next time they fight. Having said this, both Pacman and JMM are in my top 5 P4P list.Originally posted by mexigafI actually enjoy watching a good counter puncher. You keep talking about Pacman as if he's the same fighter he was in that fight. He's improved vastly since that fight, and would give JMM more problems that he did in the beginning.Originally posted by ChrististheAnswer2Yes that is a definite possibilty but I don't see it happening, but that just my opinion.
I think JMM will use his jab and stay on the outside and counterpunch, like what he did in the first fight.
Rounds 3-5 in pac-morlaes 2 is a prime example of how to take PAc out of stride.Comment

You know I was saying the same thing after the Pac- JMMM match, but considering Marquez's "moves" after the fight. He still has the tools to beat PAC, but he's gonna have to gut it out w/ him and I don't think JMM wants to go through that hell again. The Mex!cans have definitely built themselves a Monster! I mean think about it Pac is not gonna be the same left hand only fighter, although that is still his bread 'n butter. I mean the guy showed great progress in his last fight, he's actually more formidable now and I can't say the same thing about Marquez.Originally posted by ChrististheAnswer2After rewatching the JMM-Pac fight, I had JMM winning most of the rounds after about the second and totally schooling Pac. He neutralized Pacs left, and if Pac can't land his left, and the other guy can box like JMM, Pac is in trouble. Granted Pac has improved since then but, JMM won't get tired like Morales did, and allow Pacs lethal left to get through.
I'm gonna get **** for this, but I pick JMM to beat Pac in a rematch, if they were to fight again.Comment

No I said in my first post that Pac has improved. Look at what Morales did in rounds 3-5 before he got tired, that is what JMM will do except to greater effect.Originally posted by BadMagickYou keep talking about Pacman as if he's the same fighter he was in that fight. I agree with that. I used to think that Pac was nothing but a ****ed left hand. And maybe he was or wasn't, but I know that his performance has improved with each outing since the Marquez fight. Pac has my respect these days, for sure.Originally posted by BadMagickYou keep talking about Pacman as if he's the same fighter he was in that fight. look at the 3rd KD again. compare that to Morales' 2nd. other refs would've waved that off.Comment

The other guys do not want to fight Marquez, they avoid him. Props to Pacquiao for fighting Marquez.Comment
