Trinidad De La Hoya looked more like karma for how De La Hoya fought the last 3 rounds
    Hmm.... very interesting point.

This thread is disrespectful to the great DLH.

Not really, how could it be karma when a judge gave him the 12th when he literally didn't land anything? THe fix was in

Oscar vs Tito was a 9-3 win for Oscar.. but he didn't put as big of a beating on Trinidad as Lewis did to Holyfield. A case could be made also that Oscar lost the last 3 rounds...

That being said both should have been wins for Lewis and De La Hoya.. no questions asked.

I still remember the De La Hoya fight. Saw it live. Oscar lost that fight because he gave away the last 3 if not 4 rounds. The bar I was in was predominately de la Hoya fans (including me) and none of them (including me) thought Oscar was robbed. You cannot give away the last 3-4 rounds and ***** about losing.

I don't remember the fight well enough but ODH was not throwing a shut-out for the first 8 rounds. Even if he won 6 of the first 8 rounds - giving away the last rounds would make it pretty close to even -- and certainly not a robbery.

Tito was landing 5-7 punches per rd thru the first 9 rounds so yes Oscar white washed him thru those rounds. Common mistake is people think the last 3 rounds are worth more if you win the 1st 9 the last 3 aren't worth more. It was just all-around horrible scoring. Oscar won the 12th rd one card when he did nothing. They gave Tito a rd where he got dominated. They say watch the fight with no sound well that doesn't help Tito land punches.

No doubt winning the last 3 rounds is not worth more than winning the first 9. I'll have to watch it again - but I don't remember the first 8-9 rounds being a shutout.

How anyone could actually score it for Trinidad is crazy. He won 4-5 rounds at the most. In close rounds, how could you give it to him?

It was either even, or Oscar won the round (he outlanded him in every round through 9 besides the 4th)

So which was the bigger robbery?

The scoring on both fights favored a certain promoter.
