USADA doesn't have the power to really cancel a fight, neither does VADA. When Morales was caught, USADA also had some trouble determining whether or not Morales was guilty of cheating. Because he trained in Mexico, where some athletes blame it on the food, meat. USADA ended up having several meetings, even after the fight, about Morales case. In the end, they felt he cheated and requested a 2 year ban from boxing.

VADA had a similar issue with Berto. They felt Berto actually didn't try to cheat and that his positive was due to a contaminated supplement. But the fight ended up getting canceled anyway. But VADA too had no power in as far as the fight happening or not. The Commission is the ultimate determiner.

His first test was 3 weeks before the fight and in that amount of time they couldn't come to a decision but needed 4 months more? Whats the point of testing then. How exactly did they come to the conclusion after 4 months anyway, they couldn't track down the exact cow? Why did they give him 3 different test? None of it makes sense.

By the time, the NY Commission had results, there was no definitive answer from USADA. But I think they might have believed his claim that it was food contamination.

USADA is no more corrupt than VADA. No organization is beyond making mistakes. Neither is VADA who has done their fair share of questionable things, mostly with the Peterson scandal. But despite that, VADA is legit. USADA has a huge reputation and gets grants from the government. If they intentionally do shady tactics, it would ruin them. They cannot be paid off by a promotional entity in a sport as corrupt as boxing. Lance Armstrong tried to bribe them for years and failed. Even Conte, despite his hate of them, isn't foolish enough to say that USADA is corrupt. He merely questions their competence.

USADA didn't find a positive result with Wright-Quillen. They took one sample, then a day later or so decided to cancel the testing for unknown reasons. The testing was canceled way too quickly for it to be canceled from a positive result. And it's only Winkys camp that claims samples were destroyed. But that is no fact. And no journalist even bothered to ask USADA.
