Will Liakhovich test Wilder? Will Liakhovich end the Wilder hype?

I'd rather see Wilder against a much better opponent BUT Wilder been fighting a bunch of C+ boxers so compared to the boxers Wilder been up against this is actually somewhat a big step up in class. Wilder is so untested it's not even funny. He hasn't even been past four rounds yet and Liakhovich has never been knocked out before round nine.

Yes Liakhovich is way past his prime. He has a long lay off and is coming from two clear losses but if he comes in shape and is game then he will most likely go rounds with Wilder and that's what we want to see. We need to see how he deals with someone that will be around longer than a couple of rounds. Liakhovich is basically a journeyman right now that any up and coming fighter that wants to make an impact in the HW division should beat but he's an experienced solid boxer and he has never been KO'd early in his career that's why this could be interesting.

    So...will Liahovich test Wilder??

Could he even pull off an upset win??

ya wilder is untested but you cant debate hes got natural skills, but liakhovich at best was a mediocre fighter and now hes far past his prime. so to answer your question no.

He's lost 4 of his last 6 fights 3 by TKO and hasn't fought in a year and a half. No.

No. Pointless fight but then again people always like to come out with the whole 'he beat x number of former champs' and other misleading 'achievements' so I expect it to be used to big him up in the future.

I don't care if he is way past it if Wilder goes and blows him out early that's a huge statement because in those losses nobody's come close to doing that to SL. BUT unless he does that or looks WAY more polished than I think he is for some rounds Jennings>Scott>Wilder for American heavies for me. Good for him that he's in shape and has a huge right hand and is big but all that stuff could apply to Michael Grant.

In Wilder I see a big phyically strong man. I see a great athlete but I don't see a skillful boxer. Liakhovich is past his prime but is a technically sound much better boxer than Wilder. Wilder reminds me of Michael Grant.

True! That would definitely vindicate his power.
