“I can’t get confident because you don’t want to get in the ring too confident because it can hurt you, but I know that I think that I hit harder than Marquez,” Rios said on Tuesday during a Manhattan press conference. “So we’ll see if that shot really affected him bad or really hurt him bad. So we’ll see how damaged he is.”

What doesn’t seem to be an issue for both camps is the clumsy video that Rios starred in three years ago in which he was seen crudely mocking trainer Freddie Roach and the tremors that come with his Parkinson’s disease. [Click Here To Read More]
Manny is wrong....that wasn't a lucky punch...Marquez was working on that shot in training...the video is on YouTube

"embarrassing knockout"? Pretty tasteless choice of words. Nothing embarrassing about going out on your shield against an all-time great like Marquez. It was a Hail Mary punch, it would've taken out almost any welterweight out there.

You're also slower, lack an abundance of defense, aren't as accurate, and don't have the same timing as JMM.

Power was just one facet of that KO.

I think we got that it was a "lucky punch" after the 30th article written about the same interview and the same quote he gave.

Its absurd to say that was a luck punch, its like saying Babe Ruth hit a "lucky home run" nothing "lucky about it its on replay for chrissakes JMM was in perfect power -throwing position, look at his feet then looks at Mannys' because he put himself there ,and this whole notion of Manny being one step away from koing JMM is also absurd he landed some good shots and busted jMMs nose ,OBVIOUSLEY JMM wasnt the one in trouble, Manny simply got very sloppy overanxious with the WRONG guy , One of the most Precise hitters in the game that punch wouldve Ko'ed ANYBODY. Manny jumped completley into it.
