That's a true ***** move. Matthysse is feeling the effects of the moment. He can't smile because them ****s look fake as hell in his mouth so he said **** it, I don't want anyone to see my grill. No press tour. No press tour, then go see a dentist @#!$@$er.
Buthurt are we? That butt is hurting bad? You want some baby powder for it?
I know it hurts but try getting used to it. You know, for when Lucas drops you puertorican boy like a sack of rocks.
Matthysse shouldn't be ignoring the promotional side of the fight, he needs to get his name out there sui he gets his shot against Cherrypicker
At some level I would have liked to see him doing the tour, but then again he doesnt say much anyway even when interviewed in Spanish. He really doesnt like talking.
Then again it would have been ******ed to cut right in the middle of training to take 48 flights back and forth. I've traveled to USA from Argentina many times. You're talking about at least 12 hous to get to Miami, then jump on another plane. Very taxing, you cant ask anyone to do that in the middle of camp.
At the end of the day, the best promotion is waht Lucas does on the right, not out of it: Impressively KO people.
Some Garcia fans are crying that no one knows Lucas and he shoudl have taken this to promote himself if he wanted a Floyd fight. He didnt to a single tour for the Peterson fight, and he still landed a cover of The Ring Magazine. How? By destroying Peterson with an impressive KO. That's the best promotion there is.
Mike Weaver wasn't beating John Tate either and how did that end?
Anything is possible, but it wasn't like Harris was dominating him and then it was stopped. Lucas was coming on. I guess we'll never know what would've happened, but I personally thought Lucas had figured him out.
So let me get this straight...a Lucas pisses and moans about not getting a fair shake, a title shot, or a meaningful fight, but the minute it's set in stone, he cancels the tour?!
I like Lucas and all, but where's the appreciation dude?
At the end of the day, the bottom line is to get PAID. Why else are boxers getting beat in their head for a living?
Matthyse is not a household name in America. He should be doing whatever he can to build a brand for himself. This is a bad business decision by Team Matthyse.
I thought Danny Garcia was light work anyway. Could Lucas Matthyse be CONCERNED about Swift Garcia???
Completely agree.
I don't think Lucas or Danny are concerned with each other, they both should be ready for an all out war on Sept. 14th.
With that said, i'm pretty sure this fight is going to put TONS of pressure on Mayweather and Canelo. Lets see which is fight of the night

The appreciation is in how he's training to beat the shít out of Danny and we all get to watch it on TV.
Danny lives and trains in the states, it's a lot less of an inconvenience for him to do an American press tour. On the other hand it's probably a pretty big inconvenience to Matthysse's training to have to do that.
That said, who gives a **** anyway? I like watching fights, not press conferences.
yeah this is a good point. Matthysse isn't training at wildcard like pac does. he cares more about entertaining us in the ring than promoting a fight. i will not be at any of those press tours anyways but i was already going to watch the fight. all will be forgiven if lucas puts on a noteworthy performance for me. lets face it the person that this bothers the most is danny garcia. advantage matthysse.

Fight took too long to sign. Typically 10 or 11 weeks before a big fight you have the tour and get back in time to have a full camp. If Lucas was training in America it might not be a issue. But he's in Argentina. He's not breaking from camp 6 weeks before the fight to travel across America.
