a press tour is a multi-city tour organized by the fight's promoter to market an upcoming fight. the fighters, trainers and promoter discuss the fights and answer questions for media. they usually last a week or so.

they are scheduled ahead of training camp so each fighter can train for the fight without having to travel

First off your question was dumb as hell. Second who asked him to do the press tour? Third, ask yourself why they asked both fighters to do a quick 3 day tour. You watch 24/7. This fight isn't even a main event. How much training time did Hatton, Guerrero, Ortiz, Shane, and Cotto miss during 24/7?

How convenient is it that the tour is to NY and PR? But not Argentina? Its obvious that GB is still more interested in promoting Garcia than Matthysse. But that's ok tho cause he will derail those plans AGAIN.

This is the biggest fight in his career and he's been calling out Garcia for a while. Even if its on the undercard, it still one of, if not the best, matchups that can be made in boxing. Two guys, in their prime, top of the division battling it out. Unless there is more to this story like sickness or some other emergency, he should have donr the press conferences to build his brand. but hey, im not a pro boxer just a fan.
