It's also funny to see a fighter like Maravilla who has shown mad heart, courage and skill throughout his run get *****ted on in favor of a dude who doesn't have half the resume of the reigning king...GGG should fight Stevens, the other day wasn't the first time he called GGG out...Showtime been trying to check that chin....GGG need to man up and take that challenge imo

And please stop trying to convince yall selves that hungry dudes shouldn't be allowed to sit at the table and grub...GGG is a meal ticket for a few...welcome to the other side homey
So Golovkin would be ducking Stevens, but we're wrong to tell the truth about Sergio's people doing the same to GGG, along with damn near everyone who matters at middleweight? That someone like Stevens is even being mentioned for Golovkin is ridiculous. He should be fighting the best, but the best don't seem to want it.

Stevens will probably get his payday to get knocked out in a couple rounds, but only because the division is so shook of Golovkin.

          • Seriously, when did Stevens become a viable contender? He isn't and has never been in his entire life. I completely forgot about him until this weekend, and my last memory of him prior to that was getting taken apart by Jesse Brinkely, who was never anything more than a basic fringe contender.

A lot of people don't like Sergio Mora or care for his style, but he's a much more interesting fight for Golovkin than Stevens, who will quite obviously get taken out early on. Mora will look to do everything in his power to spoil, but seeing how Golovkin deals with such a style is a hell of a lot more compelling to me than seeing him blast some stiff.

If Sergio didn't get injured then it would be a clear duck if he didn't fight GGG next....Sergio has EARNED the benefit of doubt here imo...dude doesn't have a reputation for ducking opponents....in fact it's the complete opposite

I would favor GGG to beat both Stevens and Sergio atm....I honestly think he's the best in the class atm....but until Sergio is fully recovered then hungry cats like Stevens is the opponents GGG should be smashing

I just think Sergio is not the type of fighter to avoid challenges...that's all....and Stevens made a fight with him and GGG very easy to promote

It was you who gave me some real talk about the Garcia-Matthysse winner deserving a fight with Floyd even though both dudes stand zero chance at winning...Stevens is in that same boat but his chances of winning is a little better based off us not seeing GGG eat something heavy from a heavy hitter like Stevens before

Seriously. I was shocked. Chris told me that his team doesn't have the same confidence in him that Stevens has in himself.

                  • Martinez : GGG must sign under my promotional componay first before we can fight because my health come first at the moment.

Sergio's not the type to avoid anyone, but his middleweight career hasn't exactly been a "taking on all comers" type of run. His team has given ****** reasons why he won't fight a few guys while Sergio's been fighting the Darren Barkers and Martin Murrays of the world.

GGG shouldn't be fighting anyone like Stevens or Mora unless he has no choice. If the Geale/Barker winner leaves him with no options, than Stevens can get it, I guess, if his promoters let him. Only if he has no better options though. Stevens is no one, and has earned nothing. Saying someone's name shouldn't get you a fight. Golovkin still can't get the fights Stevens is asking for, and he's a champ.
