Khan agreed to the fight two weeks ago. Schaefer went to Dubai 3-4 weeks ago.
I'm pretty sure there's a contract.Comment

And you're original claim was that Khan was running away from a potential fight with Lucas, the difference between the proposed fight between Khan and Bradley was that Khan did everything in his power for the fight to manifest, 50/50 split and all, and on the other hand Bradley was no where to be seen...So calling him out is fighting him now? You just blasted Bradley for doing what Khan is doing, calling a dude out and then going up in weight to chase a pay day.
Schaefer's original plan was to line up Khan for the winner of Garcia-Mattysse, so if Lucas wins the fight is there for him. Hell, I am sure Mattysse would meet him at WW too since Khan says he can't make 140 anymore.
Lets be honest, Khan isn't going near Lucas because he knows one shot from him ends any chance at a Floyd fight.
So Khan is not going near Lucas because you said so or Khan, was the same not said about Khan prior to the fight with Maidana was it not?Last edited by Fuzzy-101; 08-04-2013, 03:13 PM.Comment

Amir got him some stones! Never let his guts or heart be questioned! I worry for him though, he's so fragile
Brook can take a fuck, he has done dick and he seems to lack the commitment imoComment

Thanks for your post, I gave up reading some of these morons with their hate for Khan, if the guy avoids a lot of challenges now then I would understand but he alway seeks out tough fights even with his shortcomings but that isn't good enough for some.I love how Khan gets flack for fighting two tune ups. Critics totally ignore the circumstances leading to those fights.
Khan vs Peterson was a travesty. Not only did Khan do enough to win that fight, even with the point deductions, he also out performed Peterson who was on performance enhancing drugs at the time. However it was a grueling match and probably took something out of Khan, which is a shame because the playing field was heavily skewed in Peterson's favor.
In his next fight against Garcia, Khan started brightly and was outclassing Garcia until his recklessness caught up with him and he was knocked down with a tremendous left hook. He bravely fought back and landed some great shots against Garcia, but he absorbed too much punishment and the referee rightly stopped the fight.
Peterson and Garcia were incredibly tough fights for Khan, and after back to back defeats - one by vicious KO, all fighters need to rebuild.
The Molina fight is what it is. A confidence builder which Khan was expected to look good in. He delivered.
Khan was also expected to look good against Diaz which he failed to do, but in credit to Diaz, he fought to a draw in his previous fight with the highly regarded Shawn Porter, and always had enough power to trouble the likes of Khan. It was a credible fight for a boxer coming off two very hard defeats.
Now we're in a situation where Khan has had his gimme fights and is ready to step back in with a credible world class opponent, however, these supposedly world class opponents don't want to fight. Khan is more than big enough a star and financial attraction to 'deserve' a fight with Alexander. This is someone who won his belt off an old, shot Randall Bailey. The title was essentially handed to him.
If Alexander's team views Khan as too much of a risk, then that's fine. Admit it, stop making excuses, and move on - fight another Lee Purdy if that's what makes you happy. Just make a decision!Comment
