i dont recall any fighter discounting his own victory by saying his opponent was washed up and i dont remember too many fighters who didnt have a some kind of excuse when they lost. larry holmes is no different than most any fighter in that regard.

as far as im concerned he is a class act and does a lot to give back to the sport, its a shame there arent more people like that and its a shame that everyone in this thread has stepped up to criticize him.
