    Mayweather-Canelo PPV numbers

    Hey boxing fans,

I heard this fight has broken the all-time gate record, but I wondered if anyone with a bit of knowledge know what the ppv numbers are likely to be? I heard something about Warner and Showtime separating and wondered whether this fight could top Mayweather v De la Hoya.

    Thank you in advance.

anything above 650k-700k will be thanks to Canelo.
Also the Gate? Canelo was responsible for 90% of it. He puts asses on seats.

The fight will probably do 1.7 Million

I feel Mayweather/Canelo will do over 2 million ppv buys but will not do more buys than the De la hoya/Mayweather fight did. The Time Warner and Showtime deal will be resolved shortly.

Your getting banned for not using the master thread,,,, dont worry, happened to me to.....

to answer your question, i think floyd canelo does 1.8 neighborhood,,

canelo is not as well known as oscar, and the public doesnt like floyd,,, so i dont think it breaks the all-time record,,

but it will be the biggest ppv since oscar-floyd... 1.8 million is a huge number

doubt it breaks the record, 24/7 was new and innovating. that was a big reason it did so well

Richard Shaeffer said this fight will break all records. So if it doesn't do 2.4 million ppv buys and some it will be considered a failure.

No way this even comes close to the Dela hoya PPV, that was on HBO and streaming wasn't around back then

This is on SHO (which just got dropped by TWC) and there will be tons of streams available.

I'd be really surprised if this breaks the 1.3 Pacquiao did against Mosley on SHO

I think it breaks the record. once media portion stars, and 24/7 begins, there will much more hype.

When does the All Access countdown shows start? I just hope TWC settles this CBS/Showtime issue before September 14 so I can order the fight.
