Arum and Pacquiao are bonkers if they think Mayweather is going to fight any other place than in the USA in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. Floyd does a lot for the economy of Las Vegas when he stages his fights there, they know it and so does he. (The final proof of this is the fact that the judge deferred his DV sentence until the completion of a fight.) Also, despite his brashness and loud mouth Floyd is a pretty loyal American, he may talk about fighting abroad but it will never happen.

The real issue as I see it is the fact that Manny allowed himself to be associated with a cold and calculating businessman in Bob Arum. I just don't get why he didn't try to free himself like Oscar and Floyd did. If I watch this sport for another forty years I'll never get that.

Here's why Macau appeals to Arum. You'd think a guy called Money might wanna listen up:

MACAU (AP) — A Chinese fighter's victory at a Macau showdown brings the world's top casino market a step closer to challenging Las Vegas for dominance of another Sin City staple: big-time boxing match...

The former Portuguese colony, now a semiautonomous region of China, overtook the Las Vegas Strip in 2006 as the world's most lucrative ******** market. Last year it raked in $38 billion in ******** revenue, six times more than the Strip.

The 40 million offer would have been manny's biggest payday to date. You mentioned that he would've had to split that 40 million with Arum and his crew. He splits whatever he made on all of his past fights as well as what he will make on the Rios fight.....it won't be 40 million. Floyd does not split the ppv with any fighter so why would he do it now ? As for your argument about blood test weakening an athlete, tell that to Olympic athletes. Go get a degree in physiology ? I'm sure you have a degree in physiology right ? What you obviously lack is the ability to articulate your point without insulting others.
Floyd offered 40m for Pac to split with Top Rank. They split 40m+ no problem for JMM 3 and 4, which were barely anticipated. That's a joke and an offer meant to be rejected.

Listen after you agree to 50-50, Pac can pick his golves and mayweather agrees to 10 mil each pound over 147 and you turn that down then you dont get that deal anymore! Pac turned that down in March 2010.

So Now you get an offer of 40 mil that can be wired in a second to him, biggest payday to date and you still turn that down? You can say thats a lowball offer but he turned down the best offer years ago

Pac offered $50m, then 45/45, winner takes the ten. Mayflower rejected them. Easy fight, easy money.

That's the definition of goalpost moving. Why wasn't the same deal on offer in May 2009, or even similar? Pac came back with 7 days cutoff, Floyd went on vacation.

So now you understand that 40m was a **** offer, right?
