so frank, are you saying that your sold on broner??? the only reason broner is getting any attention now is because he showed that he could mock Floyd style and can stop these tomato cans he,s been fighting... sht, I gave the paulie fight against him a draw... broner will get exposed sooner or later...

I got a good feeling Golden Boy/Haymon are going to get Broner-Maidana done for later in the year.

Would still watch the fight and root for Maidana.
Matthysse on the other side would give Broner hell.

And Morales DID have an iron chin. But it weathered out so much. The lwgemd is a natural featherweight. And he took it to Chino with one eye.
I'm not sold on Broner at all but he has the skills to coast past Chino.
As far as punchers go, if Tyson were a 10 and Mattheysse is a 9 I'd set Maidana a high 7 depending on who hes fighting. I feel like his power wanes as he goes up in weight. On the other hand while I agree somewhat with what you're saying, I can't deny that this guy hits hard. Still, this guy shows up every time.
Now Malignaggi has been in with some tough fighters and he said he didn't feel Broner's power, I'm guessing it doesn't transfer from 135 to 147. Even at that, Broner's power is somewhere near 5. I don't think he's a devastating puncher at 147. (135 is a different story, I would say he's higher but that's not the topic at hand.) Point here is, I don't think Broner is gonna contest Maidana's power/punch/hardhits.
The difference between Morales giving it to Maidana and Broner potentially holding up is that Morales already reached legendary status by the time he got to Maidana, withered chin or not. He gave Maidana a hard time, that's true. Though, its just that, he's a legend. Past prime or not -- that experience and knowledge doesn't go away, its the body that gives way. Now Broner may very well know his stuff but it's really not translating into the ring if he does.
I don't know about coasting by Maidana, Broner is the only guy I've seen stay square in a shoulder roll stance. All you really need to do is sidestep, go to his body then throw the uppercut right down the middle and he's done. Malignaggi did it, Gavin Rees gave him problems with landing that left hook. His main (and probably) only punch is that counter right hand. Broner gets tired by the 6th or 7th. Wide and uncoordinated footwork. Hell, Broner's had problems since Eloy Perez. I'm not sold on Broner whatsoever, I think he's attention grabbing and can stir up some drama fine only because he's so extreme. I find him entertaining in that regard but really, it's almost frustrating to watch him "box."
Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, like and say whatever you want but Broner isn't the truth. He is nothing like Mayweather, I don't even think he's a B level fighter and hes squeaking by these fights. The guy has so many flaws I'm starting to think boxing (or his fights at least) are rigged but...That's just me.
Also, some of the response is a tangent, I'm more or less venting at some points. Not to be confused with aggression/abrasion, just enjoying the convo is all.
