Tua´s fights are hard to predict, he´s fat and lazy but has a good chin and I think he still can end the fight with a single left hook.. that would be a funny sight considering the height difference.

He looked pretty well cut a few months ago. He is wearing an overly baggy t-shirt though which may be making things look worse than they are.

The picture looking good was an old one. I don't think anyone verified it as recent.

Must have the same nutritionist as James Toney. Beware of that hook tho!

he clearly needs the money. his finances are well documented. the division is so bad that he could have conceivably gotten to one of the klitschkos and made enough money in one run to retire. he never got past monte barret, doe. if he had stayed in shape year round and put together a better run to prepare himself he could have won those fights. after that it would have probably been one more fight with a contender that he'd have to win to get to the klitschkos, given his name and power. the division is that bad.

No surprise. Unfortunate. Just remember him for his fight with Ike Ibeabuchi and Ruiz.

I don't understand the business logic of matching up Tua with a dangerous opponent such as Ustinov especially since he's been away from the game for two years. David Tua's very popular in New Zealand and they could've easily selected someone like Vinny Maddalone or Jay Gavern and still made a good payday. With Ustinov, it seems like they're setting him up for failure; if he doesn't beat this guy then it's a huge setback.

Also, I'm surprised that Tua looks so bulky one month prior to this fight. I have been reading reports off and on all year how he has rededicated himself and is putting everything into this last comeback.

Monte Barrett says Duco promotions are throwing David to the wolves, and he's right.

A third Barrett fight would have made more sense and done great business Down Under.

He's gonna get slaughtered by Ustinov.
