Anyone who has ever spent any time in the ring knows that there is no such thing as a lucky punch in boxing, period.

Marquez had a smart plan, Manny had a ****** plan. Everyone has a plan till they get hit but marquez is a prime example of one who improvises no matter what predicament he is put in. He planned to KO Pacquiao so that the fight would not go to the judges scorecards. Mannys Plan is the same for every fighter. He is predictable and that was his downfall vs Marquez.

It wasn't a lucky punch, he knew exactly what Pacquiao was going to do and acted accordingly.

He tried it too many times for it to be lucky

Manny's been eating right hands for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout his career. The only problem with that, is this time around, Juan put a little extra jalapeno into it.

But seriously, Marquez is one of the best counter punchers of this era and Manny's reckless come forward style finally caught up to him. Plain and simple.

You baklas, can claim every excuse in the book but Manny had it coming for a long time.

Marquez landed the counter right hand on Manny's chin all night long. Including the exact same counter right down the pipe on Manny with 1:49 left in round 5, directly after Manny knocked him down and came in for the kill.

FFS, even a punchy Roy Jones picked up on that punch and let out an audible "OHHHH!!!", even the incredibly biased Jim Lampley acknowledged it, yet still you imbeciles are scratching your heads about whether it was "lucky" or not.

He was landing it all night long...throughout all 3 previous fights...yet never put him to sleep before? So what was so different about the eventual killer blow? Had nothing to do with Manny stumbling head first into it right? All in the master plan! Count to 10, take some deep breaths and try to THINK!

I'm pretty sure there's a video on YT with him training for that fight and he knocks his sparring partner out with the extact same punch. . . Best punch to be a southpaw too. . . I'd say it was an unlucky moment for Pac but a very well calculated hit for JMM, probably came not a moment too late either.

                  combination of:

                  jmm looking to ice manny

jmm was heavier so therefore a more powerful punch

manny's punch resistance isnt what it use to be

jmm new training regiment with PEDS??????

It was not a lucky punch. It was a Memo powered punch Marquez prepared just in case Pac got careless. It was Pac fault lunging his face first just a few seconds left in that round.

Despite of the first knockdown Pac was giving Marquez a real beating and Pac was really looking good than in other 3 previous fights until he got overconfident. Pac shouldn't have chase Marquez for just a few seconds remaining in that round.

That said, what happened in round #5? Was Manny knocked out? Knocked down? NO and NO!!!

In round 6, it was a combination of a few things that collided that presented us with that KO. Yes, Marquez tried that punch before but how successful was he prior to that? Not as successful as round #6. Again, due to the circumstances.

In round #5, Manny moved away from the punch enough so it didn't have as much of an affect. It may have also happened in round #6 but Manny stepped on Marquez's foot and was off-balance. That left Manny's head hanging in front of Marquez to tee off of. I'm sure that Manny being more aggressive and probably over-confident didn't help himself either.
