In round 6, it was a combination of a few things that collided that presented us with that KO. Yes, Marquez tried that punch before but how successful was he prior to that? Not as successful as round #6. Again, due to the circumstances.
In round #5, Manny moved away from the punch enough so it didn't have as much of an affect. It may have also happened in round #6 but Manny stepped on Marquez's foot and was off-balance. That left Manny's head hanging in front of Marquez to tee off of. I'm sure that Manny being more aggressive and probably over-confident didn't help himself either.
I don't care what anybody says, Pacquiao went down like a champ, nature of the game they choose to play, both wanted to win bad, and just so happens that he came out short that night, but went out doing what he knows best, happens to all the great ones.

did he prepare to throw that punch...YES
one fighter could never tell if one of his shots will really put the other guy out for good....
so did jmm planned it to happen 1 second off the bell? NO!!!
if a fighter landed a big one that did not put the other guy to sleep - he would like to have more time to follow-up with more punches to end the bout....
because the point is if pac was able to get up as he did in the previous round he was decked...then chances of pac recovering and hitting jmm more might end the bout via a tko...

but that doesnt mean that jmm was trying to ko him,,, you never know what punch will do it,, but that does stop guys from trying,,,
do you think mike tyson knew what punch would ko spinks or holmes,, No, but he threw his punches to end the fight,,,
Same with JMM,,, he didnt know what punch would do it,, it happened to be a counter right when manny fell in after a double feint,,,
Bottomline is that JMM was trying to put manny out,, he did so,,, and yes i think manny was on the verge of stopping him,, but jmm threw big shots and ko'd manny,, it was a great fight.. JMM was not lucky, he trained to throw that punch, knew manny would be there,,,
JMM wasw trying to ko manny,, he ko'd manny,,, i cant say that its just a lucky punch..
and thanks for not being a childish idiot, and actually talking boxing in your post...

I don't think Marquez was as hurt as the HBO crew wanted us to think. People are acting like he was on his last legs. Truth is he has been hurt worse in other fight (Diaz, Pacquiao 1 and 2, and Katsidis come to mind). Marquez has an ability to either keep a clear head or con his opponents into thinking he is more hurt than he really is. Look at the Katsidis fight after the KD he looks very hurt, laying on the ropes, but he starts countering and getting the better of the exchanges.
Was Pac winning the fight? Yes but not completely dominating. Also, the first and second fight demonstrate that Marquez has the ability to switch the momentum at any moment so it was not a given that Pac would have won had Marquez not knocked him out.
Was he about to stop Marquez? I don't think so. I don't think Marquez has ever been stopped eventhough he has been hurt worse in other fights. His nose was bleeding which I think makes people think that he was ready to go , but his nose was broken in the first fight with pac and he still managed to finish the fight.
