That's right especially since Canelo walked through everybody to earn his shot.

      Great move for Khan.

Haymon will make sure he isn't thrown in with the lions.

Is it a wise move by Khan? Or will he become another overprotected fighter? Or is this another step on the road with regards to securing a Mayweather showdown next year?
Al Haymon makes everyone connected with him money. He has successfully taken the model he used for concert promoting and tweaked it to work in boxing. His fighters get paid more, get the best dates, and work with the top promoters.

I think posters here on NSB have things backwards. Most posters complain that a Berto gets 7 figures to fight bums. You think any pro fighter wants to get paid less for harder work?

WOuld any of you that have jobs go into your boss' office and ask for harder work for less pay?

Haymon is changing the economics of the sport-making sure more money goes into the pockets of the fighters rather than the promoters. If you were a pro fighter why wouldn't you go with him?

          This is my point exactly!

Fighters talk to each other as well. When fighters start sharing purses and seeing the difference, they will wonder what's the reason behind it. In little time the fighters find out it's because of a difference in management. It is no mystery that Victor Ortiz, Lucas Matthysse, and now maybe Amir Khan, are flocking to Haymon.

Good for khan!! Haymon clearly has the boxing world by the balls, smart move to select him to be your manager.

How can that be a good decision if Khan's intentions is to fight Floyd? Shouldn't Khan have joined Floyd promotions?

I don't know that floyd will ask khan to do that to make a fight. I know if he did make the stip Khan would do it because he want to fight floyd, just as JMM and Tim did with TR to get a manny fight.

I also know manny wouldn't do it because since he believes he will lose to floyd, he will avoid doing things floyd requests to make the fight happen.

That doesn't help the fans or the sport, it just means there's less money available for promoters to put on other good fights.

Moreover, fighters getting paid big lop-sided money to take on average opponents deters them from taking risks against the best fighters.
