Precisely. Aside from this upcoming fight, I cannot recall the last time Mayweather fought someone the fans truly wanted and expected to fight.

That doesn't mean that he didn't take on good fighters, just that he's always avoided the very best.

140 in my opinion was his best weight, people forget how good of a combination puncher he used to be. He's made quite a few adjustments at this age, he's put more emphasis on taking the early rounds and also finishing the round strong. Don't care what anyone says, if Canelo ain't the man to do him in...then Floyd likely finishes his contract undefeated.

Mayweather chased Gatti, eventually got him, tried to fight Hatton and Cotto at the weight too. He was at his physical peak at 140 though, which is what I'm talking about.
