  • Comments Thread For: Booth Says Fury is Making a Mistake By Facing Haye

David Haye's manager and trainer, Adam Booth, believes Tyson Fury is making a mistake by accepting a fight with Haye. The grudge match will take place on September 28 in Manchester. Booth doesn't think Fury has enough experience and taking on Haye, a very experienced two-division world champion, is the wrong move at this moment in time. He doesn't expect Fury to be any better when the fight takes place in two months time.

    Booth is incredibly overrated.

Fury disagrees. Besides Haye could "retire" at any given time or become a big Hollywood actor. Gotta get it while the gettins good.

Fury is not making any mistakes whatsoever. He's getting a reported £5m which is about 10 times his highest purse to date, if not more. Also, even if he loses he'll probably still be ranked in the top 10 and after beating someone like Thompson, he'll be right back in the same position as he is now.

Only an idiot would have turned down the Haye fight in his situation.

When he beats Haye he'll be in line to face Vitali.

At the age he is, Fury would be silly to turn down a payday like this, if he wins he's basically the number 1 contender, if he loses he's more than enough time to come again

Win win situation for both guys its possibly the second best pay-day possible in the HW division only Povetkin Vs Wladimir will top it.
I really doubt Vitali will fight either Haye or Fury, It's likely If Haye or Fury is to fight a Klitschko it will only be Wladimir and that will have to wait till late 2014 due to the Tony Thompson Vs Kubrat Pulev being a eliminator fight to face Wladimir.

Although it could be possible for the world title of Vitali being stripped off him, he's reaching a year of inactivity so its likely...
I'm doubting (hoping) that neither Haye or Fury want that easy route.
If anything I think Hughie Fury will target that belt If it becomes vacated to challenge Mike Tyson's youngest HW record.

Both Haye and Fury will make more than Povetkin, only Wlad will make more. At the same time, Haye-Fury will most likely generate most money at the same time, being on PPV and having the British market behind it.

IF Fury beats Haye, he would no doubt be a shoe-in for a crack at the title, and rightly so.

Definitely could happen, although I think Groves may cause Froch some problems.
