Well, if you are a fan of the sweet science like it appears you are then you should at least have a clue as to who Mendez is. Anyhow, in my opinion if he thinks that Mendez is easy pickings he might be for a rude awakening as Mendez is imho a lot more skillful than Rocky. It might just be the break Mendez needs for more exposure.

He forgets García has headlined on HBO, something Matinez himself nor Mendez have ever done & this time García is going up in weight so it doesn't matter if he didn't make the weight in his last fight & now they claim he beat 2 fighters on their way out, but I bet they didn't say that to Juanma when they were putting bums in front of him after the 2nd Salido fight & before he fought García & ¿How they figure Salido is on his way out? After Salido suffered a few knock downs in the García fight, he was starting to do better(NOT that he was winning or anything) & was comming on when the headbut broke García's nose.. They are probably going after Mendez for less $$$ thinking it's gonna be an easier fight & are probably going to run into a wall of being wrong cause Mendez has skills..

Honestly I don't see this people from PRBoxing putting all their chips on martinez. Imo i think he plain sucks. No defense slow and no power with good guys. He already has 2 gifts this early in his career why keep wasting money on him instead of cashing out with mikey. That fight brings in more money than a gamboa fight which he has a better chance than a garcia fight. Martinez is not gonna get any better with good to elite boxer or famous bis fighta are not interesting and it always ends up with fans disagreeing with the decision.
