Why the hate on Berto Newb?????

Ortiz never had much stock to begin with. Any stock he had left surely dissipated after two quits and the embarassing/disgusting performance against Mayweather.

I would say no. pretty much what others have said in this thread.
I dont get why so many people hang ortiz for quiting in the maidana fight yet years later he went to war with Berto and could have easily given up but he fought through adversity and ended up knocking him down when he himself was ready to fall. Its unbeleivable how he gets so much crap for quiting yet he gets no love for going to war and coming out on top

Was a legit win back then. Still a great W over a then-undefeated fighter.

His only bad loss was to lopez.

Some say Berto has been "exposed" as a hype job.....what does that say about Vic O's "signature" win???

are you a triangle theory type of fella???
              wachugot??

Ortiz fought a different and better Berto. This Berto that Soto-Karrass fought is too muscular and he's not able to move at all. and since the punishment he received during the Guerrero fight his face bruises easily. This Berto that sk fought is a shell of himself (Which really isn't that much to begin with).
