This fight will probable go he way the Thurman/Chaves fight went. Garcia/Matthysse are better boxers but they can both punch also. Garcia has a great chin so he should be able to with stand the first few rounds. If he doesn't adjust like Thurman did, Matthysse will possibly score a late KO. I think he is the slightly better boxer but Matthysse is well rounded. It's hard to bet against Garcia because I think he's better able to deal with adversity. Either way it goes this should be a great fight and a great night for boxing.

      Yes, so he sounds.
Barrera was not as gifted as a fighter as Lucas is. He agrees upon the fact that by becoming Mattysse's trainer he actually had his life changed.

This happened already with another Argentinian trainer: Amílcar Brusa, who became famous for training Carlos Monzón and after that trained many world champions from diverse nationalities.

Garcia has got to weather the storm coming

PROFESSIONALISM/WORK ETHIC/UNDER THE RADAR... Old School Training!

How Matthysee team is getting right, is exactly how the Petrocelli's (Hagler), the Dundee's (Leonard), and Emanuel Steward (Hearns), ran camps/training for their Legends of the Sports; why these trainers were also Legends of the Sport. Gave their fighter's the credit, ran a clean, quiet, hardcore camp. There was no need to trash talk the opponent, get into a war of words with the other trainers... This is why Matthysee is growing as a Champion, leaps and bounds. He will destroy Garcia in 2 rounds, and have a very difficult time getting Floyd in the ring following. Floyd wouldn't fight Pacquiao, wouldn't fight Maidana.

Just go to the Argentines body. He can dish it out, but can he take it. Not to the body. Body, body, body!

Honestly that's the only chance he has in winning. Danny usually gets better as the fight goes on, and you have to worry about Lucas's stamina because he really hasn't been going rds. I think Danny takes him out in the 10th, especially if he applies pressure on Lucas getting him out of his comfort zone.

in the fights that matthysse "lost", with zab and devon (both went the distance), he got better at the end of each fight. i don't think lucas has stamina issues, in fact, danny got hurt by zab in the end of their fight.

Matthysse was not strong at the end of the Alexander fight because of Devon's body shots. He WAS a lil stronger than Alexander at the end of their fight only because Alexander was starving to make 140.
