"Uh oh. I can't hurt Klitschko and can't get inside his reach."

"I'm just going to make sure I survive for 12 rounds and take absolutely no risks to try and win the fight."

"It was my toe. Honest. If it weren't for my toe, I'd have won the fight".

"Now if I beat an up-and-coming, untested fighter, I'm entitled to another shot at a Klitschko."
Haye specifically said that he probably wouldn't have won even if his toe was Ok. I appreciate it was a bad excuse, but don't make it worse than it is.

I don't like Haye and I do like Vitali, but I respect Haye's power enough to think there's a chance he could ko or tko VK if he gets lucky or if Vitali suddenly gets old(and it would be genuine, no way would Vitali quit in a fight at the end of his career, especially against Haye).
If Haye was to win over VK I think it would be more likely to be trough a decision than a KO or TKO for that matter. Even though Vitali throws a lot of punches, Haye is no sitting duck. Wlad had a hard time catching Haye and he is substantially faster than his older brother. That's just my reasoning behind it though.

At this point I'd just like to see the two fight. If it doesn't happen I think a lot of fans would be very disappointed. Regardless of Haye's performance vs Wlad.

wouldnt be shocked if haye stopped old vit. he looked terribble and vulnerable in his last 2 fights. look at ray mercer for example. his chin used to be granite until he hit 40,,then he became vulnerable. good chins will eventually crack with age

Yeah, and nobody does that better than Vitali. No way Haye potshots as many connects on Vitali as Vitali lands on Haye. It would goes against all past performance history, not to mention the obvious physical advantages, and is just not going to happen. If Haye won, it would have to be by ko or tko.

I'd like to see the two fight, at least if Haye does beat Fury. Either way, I'd love to see Vitali go out by fighting the winner of that fight, and I will be disappointed if it doesn't happen, though odds are he'll call it quits before then.

Can't agree on Haye being able to decision VK though. Wlad's problems catching Haye was stemming more from his caution of Haye's power (especially in interaction to Haye's even greater caution of Wlad's power) than anything. Vitali won't be nearly as cautious, which means he'll both be more likely to land punches and take punches, as he's historically done in past fights. After all, Wlad has greater punching power, but Vitali has the higher ko percentage and round won percentage, stemming largely from his aggression. I expect Haye, partly in response to VK's style and partly in desire not to have criticism like in the Wlad fight, will also be more aggressive. That would make a knockout of either person more likely, while Haye is not suddenly going to be landing way more punches than historically nor Vitali landing way fewer punches than historically. I'd also disagree Wlad is substantially faster than Vitali, too, he's smoother and less awkward (not necessarily a good thing), which makes him appear faster. Vitali's reflexes are better though and everything else is close.

                He wants Vitali.

But if he really really has to, he will fight Wlad.

Cant believe im saying this, (i travelled to Hamburg to watch that ****), but i would like to see him fight either. i believe this time i might actually try.

I had a dream last night that I'd somehow tuned in late and switched on during the highlights, it was showing a very in trouble Haye getting off the floor and literally putting Fury straight down for the 10 count. It was being heralded as one of the greatest comebacks in history and I was absolutely devastated that I'd missed it!

He wants another big payday, he doesn't care which one of them it is.
