Truth. I think this guy may be pulling our leg, he has "trolling 24/7" in his user title and that's exactly what hes doing, trolling big time.

It's a fact team showtime said Broner is not vacating his lightweight title. Take that however you feel.

yes, does that mean that hes moving back down to 135 tho? what am i missing? did they say he was vacating his 147lb belt or something? now if it is announced that broner will fight maidana at 147, would that mean he was forced to or something?

Well usually, if you're not vacating a title you have to defend it. I don't exactly get how that's so hard for you. Or do you think that he can continue to campaign at 147 and remain the lightweight titlist, that's pretty weird tbh.

he wouldnt be the first to do it. floyd is doming it right now. manny has done it, so has jmm. they lose their belts typically by being stripped not by voluntarily vacating. no1 knows what broners next move is. but holding on to his 135 lb belt is really no indication. hes probably just trying to be like floyd as usual.

First and foremost, Cotto didn't stop Pauli at all. Secondly, Maidana may be scoring all of these stoppages because all of these guys that he recently stopped are "made to order" for him. Lopez and Karass are both aggressive fighters that like to slug and Maidana was expected to get the better of both of them. That's why I'm not feeding into this "new Maidana" bit just yet. What happened with Alexander? You can't get more outclassed than that. Let him fight a good mover at 147 and see if hes still getting rid of dudes, then I'll be convinced that hes getting better. He was even hurt by both Karass and Lopez at different times in both of those fights, which no one seems to want to talk about. And this is coming from a Maidana fan.

              • Anyone that's actually picking Broner to win has some delusions of grandeur. Thurman thoroughly smashes dude, then goes onto fight Maidana.

Wow, I guess Floyd Pacman and JMM are not pioneers of the sport. But young guns who ain't done squat but beat on made to order fluffs. (Except for PDL who beat him in his weight class). If Broner doesn't fight a welterweight next, then what??
