styles make fights,, anybody who thought that jmm-floyd would be a good fight doesnt know boxing,,
Floyd will never lose a round to a guy that is smaller, slower, less power, older, stationary, counter puncher,,,
YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO OUTBOX FLOYD WHEN YOU ARE THE SMALLER SLOWER GUY,, Floyd had every advantage in that fight, that is why he gets little credit for it..
4 years later, JMM has moved to welter, transformed his body, ko'd manny because JMM excels vs guys that come at him bc then he can counter,, he couldnt counter floyd, because floyd is going to open up and leave himself open to counters..
Bradley will bring a pressing style, he isnt a huge welter, doesnt possess much power, he will give jmm chances to counter,,, This will be a much better fight, than floyd-jmm
bradley isnt the top p4p king like floyd, hell he barely makes some p4p lists
Thats why bradley will get credit
I also appreciate your ability to have a discussion without resorting to childish name calling.

I actually thought Pacquiao beat Bradley, by the way.
Bradley is at the disadvantage of not being a pure slick boxer like floyd..

Bradley's game is to get up in your ARSE and break you like he did with witter, alexander, etc
That will give jmm chances to counter, and thats what jmm does best,,
It will be a clash of styles...
2 counter punchers like floyd and jmm are always going to be in a boring one-sided fight...
bradley come full steam at jmm will have explosive results,,
Yes bradley is faster, but he has little defense, and will give jmm chances to hit him,, something floyd would never let jmm do..

I to think that manny beat bradley

I know Bradley and Floyd have different styles, but given the circumstances, I'm not sure that would merit a Bradley victory over Marquez meaning more than a 120-108 Floyd victory over Marquez. May I ask what you think will happen between Bradley and Marquez, Adam?

it means more because floyd was p4p #1 and was suppose to win 120-108 or something like that,, only die hard jmm fans would think that jmm had a chance,, thats not a knock against jmm, its just the way they matchup..

jmm is top 5, probably top 3 p4p and bradley is trying to get there,, a legit bradley win would be his biggest win of his career,,, it was not the biggest win of floyd's career,, it was actually a top level tune-up for floyd....

as for bradley-jmm,,, i think bradley makes jmm look slow and outworks him to a decision,, probably around 115-113 or 116-112... I just thinks its bradley's time,, on the other hand, if jmm ices bradley or wins a decision, it will be a huge victory for jmm and will look great for his legacy...
either way its a 50/50 fight but im leaning towards bradley

Mayweather is a better fighter than Marquez and was considered so, and that fight was Marquez's first foray at welterweight. Bradley is not considered a better fighter than Marquez, and is fighting him coming off knocking out Manny lumping Pacquiao.

What exactly is the double standard? Is anyone saying Bradley is a great fighter but Mayweather isn't?

Nobody is saying that. What they are saying, and rightfully so, is that Floyd Mayweather is a great fighter regardless of whether or not he fought Marquez. And what they appear to also be saying is that if Bradley beats Marquez, in a fight where Bradley is younger and faster, beating Marquez would suddenly alter the universe and catapult Bradley to a new status. A win over Marquez would be a solid win, but not any more relevant than Floyd's victory over Marquez.

I know Marquez just put Pacquiao to sleep, but I think most boxing fans realize that in all 4 of their fights, Manny kept running into straight right hands. Over and over again. When watching the film on DVD, sometimes I think my disk is skipping. Pacquiao made no adjustments.

It would be much more relevant than Mayweather beating him because the majority of the boxing world doesn't think Bradley is even as good as this Marquez. So winning a fight most don't expect him to win is a big deal, and would catapult him to a new status.

No such circumstance existed when Mayweather fought Marquez, especially because of when he fought Marquez.
