He's been in some wars that were great to watch. He does deserve that that tune up with Arce.

if he were to fight arce it would obviously be at 130 since juanma said that's where he's fighting next, arce is done and too small for that weight class...now if juanma fights arce and can't even beat arce, then he really has a big problem..i would even consider it a no good win if he went 12 with arce,he should be able to ko him in under 3 rounds

Two opponents he would like to face, because of their styles, are former champions Rafael Marquez and Jorge Arce. Back in April, Arce discussed making a return to boxing and wanted Juanma as a comeback opponent.

Yeah he's not going to win over to many fans calling out shot fighters with a name when he's almost near shot himself. Nobody wants to see Marquez or Arce take another beating, especially Marquez in a comeback fight. He needs to slowly move back into the mix of things not just jump right in with Lopez even at this point.

I think Lopez should just try to get on the Alvarado-Provok undercard against a journeyman and build from there. Nobody wants to see him get a cheap win against smaller shot fighters.

All three of these guys need to retire. Sad Juanma is just like 3yrs old.

He wants to fight a 122lber, wonderful. I would actually pick Arce to beat Juanma, that's how shot I think he is.

                  You need a new trainer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fighters seem not to be able to see what everyone else can see juanma needs another trainer period! His technique is terribly flawed and he was wide open for many of mikeys shots that's why he lost, he needs another trainer asap. I think roach would be a good choice for him, to heck with being loyal when you have to feed your family, you hired the trainer to do a job, a job he is obviously failing at, now is time to make the switch!

juanma has always fought the same way, since the start when he started beating ponce de leon, since before that he's always had the same style, problem was that when he faced guys who could fire back and take his punches is when he failed,he can't take a good punch, even if his defense improves he's still going to get hit at some point in the fight and that's when he starts to go down, you can't fix his chin, and something else, roach is the last guy he needs if he want to improve his defense, all of his fighters have no defense
