As previously reported, former champion Juan Manuel Lopez (33-3, 30KOs) would like to return before the end of the year. Last month he was knocked out in four rounds by Mikey Garcia. It was the third knockout loss for Juanma in five fights. The 30-year-old fighter wants to have one final run to a world title, at super featherweight. Two opponents he would like to face, because of their styles, are former champions Rafael Marquez and Jorge Arce. Back in April, Arce discussed making a return to boxing and wanted Juanma as a comeback opponent.

if salido loses to cruz, how many people would be down to see lopez/salido III? haha. rafa marquez is with gbp, not sure if lopez is still with top rank or what, but if he is, that fight is out of the question. also, i thought arce retired after the donaire fight? not sure what juanma can do. i'd suggest he fight some bums in puerto rico for his next two or so fights and then try to get a big fight as another "last chance" sometime next year. does vazquez jr still not want to come up to featherweight?
