            leonard fought the linear 154 pound champ as a tuneup. floyd vs drained canelo at 152 is a super fight. boxing certainly has changed.

                I think you are correct. But the thing about floyd and manny is they are the biggest stars in the sport by far. when has the ww division ever had the 2 biggest stars in the sport at the same time?

                  José Cuevas, Sugar Ray Leonard, Wilfred Benítez, Carlos Palomino, Thomas Hearns, and Roberto Durán.

                  Very loaded division. In an era where they went 15 rounds. Most are Hall of Famers, 3 are top 10 all time greats. 80 is one the best eras for the 147 division. Not including the monsters that could easily jump up/move down.
