It's amazing after all the difficult wars he's had (sometimes against bigger, stronger fighters like Gabriel Rosado) how Soto Karass is able to come back and put on fine performances like his fight with Aydin and, still better, his win last night over Andre Berto.

I remember meeting some of his family members who were sitting behind me at ringside during his fight with Selcuk Aydin. I was cheering along with them during that fight.

Props to the courageous ring warrior Jesus Soto Karass. Viva Mexico!
I'm glad Soto-Karass is finally getting the recognition that he deserves. I thought he was going to push Berto to the limits but the judges would rob him on the cards.....that's the only reason that I bet against him (I keep doing that, going against my better judgement because of the corruption in boxing).

He is a tough, tough guy that switches up his punches and approach as the fight goes on and he is so tenacious. I hope he gets some big fights from here on out and that people stop calling him a "C level" boxer because he will give any fighter a tough night out regardless of how good people think the other guy is.

I knew from how he accounted for himself against Chino that Karass was a future contender. Lopez vs Karass would be a fine fight. But I favor Lopez and Karass against many welterweights. I really don't rate Broner at all I think the both of them beat him. They also beat Magic Man. Karass could probably beat Ghost. Lopez could probably beat Berto.
I agree, I was impressed as hell with his performance in that fight. He has mad great strides in improving his technique over the last couple of years and he let it show last night.

Karass is a nice guy, and a tough guy, but he can't beat elite guys. He can make a fine living as a tough, capable guy, but he has nothing in his game where he can elevate his game to beat a true champion.

Jesus Soto-Karass had a very good performance but imo Berto is a completely shot fighter. I would like to see Soto-Karass vs Keith Thurman I think that would be a good fight.

I like Soto Karass. Ever since Mike Jones 1. He will never be elite but he will give anybody a run for their money.

i had a great time last night at the at&t center. soto karass is a real humble guy, took pictures with every1! seriously he was on his way out the hotel and after the fight exiting the ring.

                he deserved that knockout cash.

Karass-Soto should get an award for the most improved fighter if there ever was one.

He has re-dedicated himself and is a different fighter from years ago. Much more relaxed and savy in the ring

                  I love the under-dog

I have seen almost every fight of Soto Karass from 2006 to today. This guy isn't an elite fighter, he isn't quick and he doesn't have much power, but he is a warrior with a great will, great stamina ang very good chin. And he throws thousands punches.
I've lost count of all the wars he fought, several slughfests like the fights agaist Rosales, Perez, Venega, Buendia, Smith, Sanders, Estrada, Carson Jones, Barros, El Harrak.

Soto Karass deserves every bit of respect. People were saying Karass was nothing but a gatekeeper and how Berto is one notch above him, maybe with steroids but without them he's nothing but a bum.
