The ghost catches a beatdown against Maidana, Soto, Thurman. I just can't favour the Ghost against many people. He is average

Yeah and khan was ranked #1 at 147 by the same organization w/o ever fighting above 140.
Oh yeah don't forget Dulorme he was ranked # at 147 before Abregu took him to school.
            So those rankings are meaningless.

TBH Ortiz, Soto-Karrass, Berto and Guerrero would all be seen as bums in previous eras.

I agree none of these would have sniffed a title shot back in the days of donald curry, starling, terry norris, mccallum

or even ike, oscar, tito, shane, pernell days....

Why don't you be honest and admit you were screaming "Mayweather's gonna duck Guerrero!". Do we have to dig up the post? Or are you going to leave the thread?

So after only fighting Berto they are now legit opponents? Guerrero skipped several weight divisions and was very easily hittable against Katsidis (even knocked down), Ortiz looked shaky before fighting Berto against guys like Maidana.

At WW, they needed to prove themselves more before being considered legit especially considering that on this site most people were complaining that Berto's resume is crap and he needed to start fighting more credible opponents.

Only for Floyd fans was it legit.

The common denominator is Berto. He has no defense and they were able to exploit it. For some Floyd fans, even after seeing the proof the first time (Ortiz), they still say the same thing the next time (Guerrero). It's legit!
