The truth is, until he beat Azumah Nelson - a well past, albeit still relevant Azumah Nelson - he had never beaten a top rated fighter within his own division, and he fought very few top ten fighters over the course of his entire career.
As for the bolded: what kind of inane logic is that? What would Curry have to do in order to establish himself as a credible threat to Mayweather? Spark Starling out inside of three rounds? Find a way of transporting himself into the future and beat Andre Berto?
