I see that you actually get it. Would Floyd have some losses? Yes, but having 2-3 losses doesn't mean you aren't great or less of a fighter.

FWIW, and this is gonna piss people off, I feel Floyd would UD Leonard, Prior and Arguello for sure. I feel Hearns, due to his style would KO Floyd and Duran is a 50/50 fight IMO.

Floyd would have been fighting on the undercards of the F4 all of his career !

people who claim he is one of the most skilled fighters ever are delusional , he has the highest ring IQ in 2000s for sure, but he isn't the greatest boxer of his era , Pacquiao is the greatest boxer even if he has been selling **** fights for the last 4 years . Simple because Mayweather resume isn't anything better !
Mayweather wouldn't survive Morales , Barrera or 4 fights with Marquez without 1-2 losses !

Talking about UD against SRL is a mere daydreaming ! Depending on what you come to this conclusion ? SRL is the boxer with highest ring IQ ever , who can adapt to any style and already proved it against legends , unlike Mayweather mythical legacy which depends on his supposed wins against Pacquiao , Kotsyo , Margarito , prime DLH , Prime Cotto , .....

he would not be a bum

he would certainly not just be another guy but all time great come on say his career started in 1980 if he fought even a couple of the names mentioned Duran Leonard Hearns Benitez Pryor even Camacho Chavez Azumah nelson then as he starts to age bring on the late 80's and a few more losses Julian Jackson Meldrick Taylor Mark Brealand Sweet Pea then into the 90's Trinidad kills him as he starts to age Ike quartey a prime dela hoya its more than Just beating these early greats his career goes on and the loses pile up not saying all these fighters beat him but they beat him up and give him the fights he has rarely had in his career personally I believe a lose gives a fighter a better career in that with a lose they no longer fear that first lose and go on to fight all comers which is what makes someone great Pernell Whitaker is a prime example with his first lose he became fearless and thus became the best fighter of his era Chavez really did not start taking anyone untill he lost then in my eyes became great we will never know how good Mayweather could have been because with the adversity of a lose a fighter either is broken like Tyson or they become great like Duran Leonard and the rest

I disagree Leonard is too long, too fast, too much movement, GREAT boxing skill, long reach.

Leonard by UD over Floyd or by TKO..too much for Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather loses to Hearns as well..however Mayweather UD's Duran.

For that fact no boxer today beats Ray Leonard, not Mayweather, Cotto, Mosley nor Pacquiao.

even if Cherrypicker was in Duran's era, he'd still cherrypick so we'd never get to see Cherrypicker against the Fab 4... Aaron Pryor was trying to get these guys in their primes... Cherrypicker would've waited for them to be past their primes before he'd even think about fighting them

Thing is, even when you move beyond the big names at 147, you still have the likes of Donald Curry and Marlon Starling. Those two were considerably more talented than anyone that he's ever fought.

Floyd would have easy work with the fab4. Nobody would have beaten Floyd up but I'm sure they all would have beaten eachother up...no joke.

I would pick the Curry that beat Jones and McCrory over Floyd. Another fighter who blew his career through drugs and poor discipline.

Thats because they began there career at ww while floyd got there 10 years into his career.

What about the fact that prime Curry went SD/UD with Marlon Starling? Marlon is under rated IMO as a fighter but he isn't on floyd's level.

Connecting flush with floyd isn't easy.

You realize the four kings all fought each other, yes? That's one of the things that sets them apart from the likes of Floyd.
