1. Dont say floyd cant fight on the inside in the middle of the ring is nonsense,
floyd can fight anyway at all times,, he is very versatile......
2. He could beat all the guys duran beat at 135, but duran would beat floyd at 135
3. JLC is no roberto duran,,, JLC was a tough fighter of his day, but nowhere near the caliber of duran..
4. floyd would get beat by SRL and HEArns,,, He would use his defense to survive but if he ever opened up he would get ko'd.. Floyd would be all D and no O, He would look like how shane did vs him and manny,, just fighting to survive
5. Floyd wouldnt be able to survive the schedule those guys fought,, no way with floyd's fragile hands does he fight 6-10 times a year, 15 round fights, his body would not be able to handle it....
6. Floyd would still be a great fighter in this era, he just wouldnt be undefeated or the p4p #1 and #1 money man of the sport,, his career would look alot like alexis argeullo

Nothing else would work. Leonard overwhelms Floyd. Leonard's left hook would have Mayweather walking on eggs and his lightning speed turns Floyd's defence into a useless tool.

No way in hell does Castillo last more than a few rounds against Duran. He would try to fight fire with fire against a guy who is superior in every single way.
Anyone who thinks Oscar landed only 2 good punches clearly has not seen the fight. You would get laughed out of any serious discussion. Anyone knows that if punchstats show a guy landed 122 punches, no reasonable room for error is going to be any less than 90 punches landed. A lot more than 2 good punches.
No one said Mayweather is an easy mark but the 80's Welterweights would have put him at #4 at best. And that is assuming he beats Benitez and Cuevas. Think Corely and Mosley could stun Mayweather? Cuevas would have had him badly hurt and Benitez was better than anything Floyd fought in his prime. Mayweather would have been #4, 5, or 6 depending on if he could beat a crushing puncher with 10 defences of his title and a guy with Benitez's skills and speed and that is a BIG if!
Punchstat is meaningless, it has no bearing on judging or explaining scores. If you need that to tell you who is landing your scoring doesn't matter~
From there why regard anything you have to say seriously? You love 80's fighters, they are great no doubt but you should also understand the greatness in front of you which you don't seem to get.

Duran is absolutely correct.
I mean we are talking about floyd here whose best win is Diego Corrales, a guy who isnt even a legit hall of famer and the fact that floyd has never faced a legit hall of famer in their prime.
Duran would smash floyd at 135 and kill him at 147.
No amount of ellerbe chest rubs will ever save floyd from duran.

For anyone to say Oscar landed 2 good punches just blows any credibility you might have right out the window. Oscar landed over 100 punches. Punchstat doesn't have to be 100% but even at 75%, it still shows a close fight. Anyone watching the fight saw a close fight. Not arguable, not up for debate. The greatness in front of me doesn't stand up to Hearns, Duran, and Leonard. Not everyone can be #1 and Floyd would have been between #4 and #6 back then. Oscar and Trinidad would have had their a$$es handed to them if they had fought back then too. So would Curry and Starling.
First of all most fans can't score their way out of a wet paper sack, so what they say doesn't matter to me and experts alright name them and show me their scores. I don't recall a single expert saying anything other than Floyd won, maybe in lackluster fashion but always that he won.
So once again using your term~ who is talking out of their ass.
Being 25% off is a big deal, in 400 punches that means 100 would be scored wrong by them and judges don't get those numbers so using them and trying to be a judge doesn't work. Since you obviously can't put them out of your mind your scorecard goes right with the rest of most boxing fans that can't score for shit.
Plus I said 2 good punches that weren't jabs about 98% of those 100+ punches were jabs and they didnt even land that good, also do you think I was using that as a figure of speech or speaking as he seriously landed only 2 punches. Oscar didn't land **** of note until round 11 I think may have been 10~ I forget which off hand but he hit Floyd with a real nice hook at the end of the round and that is the only clean power punch from Oscar that comes to mind. About every round can think of solid shots Floyd landed.
Sure Oscar and Tito would fail but they aren't as good of fighters as Floyd not really even close.
You are romanticizing the past greatly so much so that you are pretty much blind to what is in front of you.
