This post is pretty spot on IMO. Also people only are judging 147 Floyd. If you think 130,135 & 140 Floyd would have been regular in any era you should go watch bar fights instead of boxing. 147 Floyd beats Duran but not sure about his lower weights Duran was stone cold.

Though Mayweather would have been far better than "ordinary", he would have definitely lost to Hearns, Hagler, Leonard, and probably Duran. People are so insecure and want to validate their generation by saying their music, their fighters, their overall era is the best, but May would be lost in the pack back then.

I dont see floyd beating hagler. Dont forget hagler walked through a hearns right that caused a hideous head wound in the greatest round in boxing history imo. Hagler could thump no doubt about that but again he could box as well. He ko'd john the beast mugabi in the last round of their fight. Mugabi had 26 fights 26 ko's until his ko loss to hagler. I thought SRL beat hagler but it seemed to me hagler got paid off as he was not very aggressive vs ray when ray had a surgically repaired retina imo. And lol at anyone that thinks Hagler was a wild brawler.
