    • I dont think anybody with any sense thinks floyd would be a bum in any era...

floyd would be great in any era,,, but during durans day,, floyd would have a legacy much like alexis arguello, benitez, pryor,,, great fighters of their era,,,
Floyd would not be a p4p #1 with some fans claiming he was the GOAT,,, he would be like pernell, or alexis

Manny has a proven track record of fighting the very best, especially at the lower weights....
Losing all your fights to Marquez, getting outboxed by Morales and then beating him while he's drained and on a losing streak are highly impressive, far more impressive than being at the top of the sport for 17 consecutive years at the elite level. I understand.

He says Mayweather would have been "just another guy in the bunch."

Duran is not impressed with Mayweather's level of competition, stating that there is no comparison between the top contenders of today and the fighters who ruled from junior welterweight to middleweight 30 years ago. Duran said Mayweather should have a loss on his record from the first fight with Jose Luis Castillo and he scored the fight with Oscar De La Hoya as a draw. [Click Here To Read More]

I know. There is nothing that Pac has ever done that trumps Floyd in anything other than being ktfo.

                  • Floyd wouldn't go undefeated, but he would definitely be one of the better fighters. I think Floyd could of beaten SRL, Duran and Hagler. And SRL, Duran and Hagler could have beaten him. To make it seem like Floyd is some C-Level fighter is just idiotic, fact is, he's unquestionably one of, if not the most skilled fighter you've ever seen, it may hurt to admit it, but it's the truth. He's an ATG whether you like it or not.

                    • mayweather competes with the best in any era from 130-140 just as Duran. they were/are great fighters who won titles at 147 and 154 but not great fighters at the weight all time. Both are past prime and undersized at the weights. Their skill sets allowed them to be successful at the higher weight.

Durans best years were from the early 70's-early 80's and Mayweather would be favored to beat all of the fighters from 130-140 in that era. Benitez was a phenom but was seperates him and Mayweather is his work ethic. No one in his era was undefeated in the early 80's at welterweight.

Mayweather could compete with them, i believe with the huge size discrepency Hearns would be too much and favored to win by k.o. Mayweather at his best day at welterweight say between 2005-2007 could PULL out wins against one, 2/3, or even all of Duran, Benitez a and Leonard. He would have been in the mix, but no one really dominated that era and Hagler was a true middleweight that wouldnt have happened anyway.
