Another Pac fan who NOW says Canelo is no threat.

Before fight is signed "FLoyd is a coward and no way will fight Canelo", "Canelo is to be of risk to precious 0", Floyd will never fight a threat like Canelo".

After fight is signed "Canelo who" and now "Floyd has been instrumental in building Canelo as an opponent himself, FOR himself" HAHAHA!

    typical

Size will play part and Canelo will catch him and end this so like i tell the others dont worry Sept 14th all your tears will go away

Honestly, I can't see why Floyd Mayweather Jr. shouldn't be able to beat Duran the way Leonard beat him. Floyd has the height, reach and speed advantage + better technique.

Watch Duran's fights. He gets easily frustrated when not being able to hit the target. Floyd would make him miss all night and counter his slow ass. I like Duran, he's on my personal top 10 list but he's reaching here. Tries to stay relevant but he's three decades behind.

Nobody wants to remember your silly comeback years Roberto. Just stay silent.
And this might be the post of the year. Very nicely put!

Any boxer will tell you that they know of SOME boxers who react differently to giving blood...some are sluggish after doing so. Go back and read the history, let's not argue opinions...
Now you know this isn't true. your memory is not that bad. If you are going to pretend then there is no point discussing.

honestly those guys had from 2009 to 2012 to make this fight,,, they just waited too long, neither camp wanted to take the risk, it didnt have to do with manny getting ko'd... fight wasnt happening,,, both are too blame, its not like the lewis/bowe saga where bowe totally dodged lewis,,, these guys both dodged each other...
Now add in the showtime/hbo alliances and this fight wont happen anytime soon...

I still think it gets made, but it will be after floyd and manny are both no longer on top of their games,,, it will be like holyfield tyson or tyson/lewis.. those fights took years to make and when they happened it was a past prime of each guy
True, they both had other fights to make, but if you're Pac and you want the fight, you can't exactly go begging for it and still expect to get 50-50 on the money, can you?

He had options too, and he exercised them. Bottom line, when you look at the intricacies of the negotiations, you see a pattern there.

Go through Floyd's career...there was talk and demand of all these dudes to fight Floyd, but he fought someone else, or went away for 2 years, or took a vacation, or priced himself out of a fight, or something...

Margarito offered him $9mil at the time to fight, which was a lot of money for Floyd, but he fought Baldomir instead for much less...Tszyu was already at HOF credentials, but Floyd went another way, each of these guys is a story...

The next time someone says "Floyd can't help that his era didn't have great fighters in it for him to fight", I'll show them this list and laugh...
You are the biggest liar on the site, lmao. And then you saw 9 mil. To even say that Arum offered Floyd 8 mil when he never even paid Floyd 8 mil for one fight is lunacy. I've read this same post somewhere before though.

Lineal champ is a bad career decision now? Who did he fight after that? Yeah lineal champ then freedom and much much much more money or Margarito for 9 mil? Which would you do

Please, why would a guy who has been ducking threats for the last 10-12 years, NURTURE a legit threat for himself?? Answer-he doesn't...

                This is a money fight...

At the time, knowing how much Floyd LOVES money, and $9mil being a ton of money for him, if I'm as confident as Floyd about my skills, I take the $9mil.

Problem is, the risk wasn't worth the reward...

hey, it's paying off for Floyd now...he's making $32mil minimum a fight, whereas if he fought all the guys I mentioned, he'd have taken his lumps and probably been retired now...or at the very least, not undefeated...

                  • You cant blame floyd for not fighting margs or anybody else prior to the oscar fight,,,,

Floyd was trying to land the big kahuna in oscar,,, Margs to much risk,,,,

But after the oscar fight when floyd was the biggest star in the sport,,, he gave us crappy fights....... and sat out in a fake retirement when the division was at its hottest....
