Riiiight cause SRL was an average fighter I guess. Besides it's not like Duran ever beat SRL right??

There is NO era where Mayweather would be ORDINARY - that is absurd to even think about saying.

Maybe he wouldn't be undefeated but regardless of his era his skill level is off the charts as is his dedication to his craft. He would be elite and a tough match in any era

In your era, Mayweather would have made you say "No Mas"!!!

No but seriously, Duran does raise an interesting question. As good as Mayweather is, it is hard to believe that he would be undefeated back in Duran's day with so many beast in the welterweight division.

          I think he's referring to 147....

130-140, Mayweather can hang with anyone.

            just for the record

i believe a prime duran SMASHES thru the prime mayweather shoulder roll and at the very least puts floyd on the canvas late, especially if its a 15 rounder

everyone knows that, even in this era, the guy has ducked competition like williams, margo, prime cotto and manny

imagine what these guys would have done to floyd?

floyd will forever will be a what if fighter, he spent his whole career avoiding fights that he had a decent chance of losing

mayweather would have been a great fighter at 130 regardless of the era. probably 135 and 140 as well. the truth is there are no fighters of his caliber around, thats certain, but with that said, he would have been a great fighter in any era.
