I wonder if Matthysse or another flavour of the month fighter moved up in weight to fight for a title, would people say he "didn't deserve it" because he hadn't fought at the weight

Doubtful.
If Matthysse beats Garcia he can say he is the best 140 pounder in the world if he moves up and asks for a title shot.

It is not just the weight,it is the previous performances and there is no question Mattysse's performances are far more impressive than Khan's and would have a far better case justify a WW title shot than Khan. Even in his case he should have a WW fight or 2 before getting a title shot.
again saying jsk deserves a shot more than khan isnt a duck, it is simply a factual statement.
You clearly dont understand what leverage in buisness means.

devon hardly has any leverage. he has NO fanns, no one wants to see him fight. he is boring as fu&k.
They are trying to create leverage by saying this. Thats how it works. Khan needs a belt and a win at 147, so he needs Devon.Devons team is trying to say we dont need Khan.
Also i would call having Al Haymon in your corner leverage.
