I guess we'll have to wait and see. . . But lets say for example Mayweather schools Canelo and it's a pretty UD shut out, then what? Is Canelo automatically relegated to the bums list?

Personally I don't think so, but almost by your logic he would be.

And yes as previously stated, these are welterweights, he should beat them.
No and he shouldn't! Just like Marquez isn't a bum and will never be neighter is Canelo, the point is that JMM went up from 135 to 147 and was eating quail egss, throwing rocks and drinking piss, Cotto was beyond damaged, he is making Canelo weigh in at 152, I thought Canelo had stamina issues against Trout because he looks way to thick to be to be able to make 154 comfortably, now he has to make 152?

But the bigger picture is how Mayweather's win over Guerrero makes him in some people's eyes to be the best ever and Canelo's win over Trout was just nothing. Think about it! Mayweather's best win at 147 is Hatton.

I have a better question for you yet. Which fighter on Mayweather's resume will be favored to beat Canelo? He already destroyed Tata and Mosley, guys that Money defeated to become champion at 147. Cotto, Hatton, Guerrero and Ortiz?

You're listing a bunch of welterweights and junior welterweights. Why are you bragging that Alvarez could beat a bunch of welterweights and junior welterweights?

The same reason people brag about guys that were coming up in weight and lost against Mayweather.

How many of those guys was Mayweather outweighing by 15 pounds, at least? And anyone you would list probably won a fight or two at the weight first. Alvarez literally just drags welterweights and junior welterweights up to 154.

Seriously, your point is just strange. It's like bragging that Froch could beat James Kirkland or something.

Canelo fights at 154. None of Floyd's 147 opponents would beat him. He comes into the ring at 170. The guy is huge. Floyd only has 2 154 opponents. Cotto is small for 154 but Oscar would've had a legit shot at beating Canelo even an older Oscar. Here's a question for you. What average to small sized 147 fighters can compete at 154? And which ones are required to by fans? I can only think of one guy.

                floyd's 47 resume < canelo's whole resume.

I didn't know Canelo missed to make weight, which fight? I know Mayweather didn't make weight against a guy that was eating quail eggs and drinking piss in order to make 144

i guess canelo shouldn't brag if he beats floyd seeing as how floyd is coming up in weight.
