It's about the present time. That means now. Ward hasn't been active. I don't know where you heard Ward's injury would take 10 months to heel when it was 4-6 months.. Ward has never cleaned out anything including tickets to his fights. I still respect Ward but your making excuses for the man. I just say he needs to start being more active or fans are not going to want to see him or he'll end up losing to someone he normally wouldn't as a result of his inactivity. Wards needs to start fighting 3-4 times a year If he wants to stay on top. period. Can't be top p4p fighter If your only going to fight once or twice a year
Ward developed a superiority complex -- he is over confident that his talent and style would allow him to reign until he's 40 years old.
But Ward has issues: he cannot sell tickets with his minimalist style; he can't find the big purses he thinks he deserves; he's too exposed to injuries, due to his inverted southpaw stance and his irrelevant right hand punch.

DiBella says he's not ready and that he won't put him in there with Ward yet. End of story.

On Jul 27: "... Ward, 29, is looking to face former WBA super middleweight champion Dimitri Sartison (30-2, 18 KO’s) or middleweight Caleb Truax (22-1-1, 13 KO’s), according to Steve Kim. Ward just needs HBO to say yes to one of these guys."
