In his first career twelve-rounder and also his first bout outside of native Argentina, Ramo De La Cruz Sena (13-8-2, 7 KOs) came short of scoring a sound upset over much more experienced Spain-based Columbian Ignacio Mendoza. The latter was down twice but cruised to a controverisally wide unanimous decision (117-111, 117-111 and 115-111) to acquire a vacant IBF Latino light welterweight title.

I can see by his weight that Solis is still fighting at a fat pig weight. So sad.

Was it really great? I didn't see the fight myself but the writer makes it sound like it wasn't so hot.

I thought the commentators were a little harsh. Going into the fight he had 24 rounds in 2 years. He didn't get hit, landed some nice combos & took him out in the 7th when he was ready. He looked relaxed & was never breathing hard & he took the 6th round off. He looked much better in the 250s then i thought he would...

Solis only looked real good when he got the KO.

TBH Solis didn't look anything special before the KO. He was winning every round (bar the 6th which he took off) but against a poor opponent.

Here's hoping he fights a live opponent next. This is becoming one of the best contender on contender years for HW's in a real long time, let's hope Solis fights someone in the top 30 for the first time since Vitali and adds to the action. As unfit as he is, he's still a top 15 HW and would make for exciting matchups.

Solis fights to the level of his opposition. He is very skilled. He was very unfortunate against Vitali...that was hardly a win for Vitali. Does he need a kick in the ass? yeah. Going against someone who is world class is what he needs, but people....this guy has always managed to get the job done. Right now I don't see any up and commers beating the fat cubano.

Solis is a disgrace. The ref was the only professional in the ring.

                    Another disapointing performance by Solis.
