    Its not a race thing

Andre Ward wants a million plus and an easy tune-up...
HBO wants a good opponent or they are not paying ward a Mil plus....
    Its as simple as that.....

Im sure all will be resolved....

I was talking about his first fight at the network dude, read that again

The money he's making is very low for a MW champ headlining HBO, WTF? He just made 330k vs Macklin's 300k. Berto made 1m+ for Freddy Hernandez when Haymon was running things at HBO, remember? Broner just made 1.5m for 11-1 underdog Paulie (who himself made 1m+). You have any sense of proportion?

Best of all, his ratings are pretty good and trending up. It's a no brainer. You really have to be a jacka$$ to complain
This thread is about Andre Ward asking for too much money to fight "BUMS", but no one has stated how much he's asking for. We already know how much Glvkin has been making fighting gate keepers, and boarder line contenders. So, as you've stated since Glovkin numbers are good then Dre needs to have HBO bring his to the table.

Other than James DeGale, the rest of the top 10 are tied up.

Andre Dirrell is out there, but you know he won't fight.
Taylor is 4 for 4 in his last 8 fights, with 75% of those losses coming by way of brutal knockout. I highly doubt anybody is interested in seeing that fight.

I can guaranteed you they'd show him fighing pushovers for 330k, or maybe even 2x as much. But if he wants a mil, it's a different thing.

Not only do we not not how much Ward is asking for, he might not know either, according to those tweets. It's handled by Goossen, who he just tried to leave and lost in court

Not with the hardcore fan obviously, but name-wise Jermain Taylor is going to mean more to the casual fan than a Truax or Sartison. Bear in mind HBO had already signed off on Ward-Pavlik.

At the time when HBO signed off for that fight, Pavlik was also a much better opponent for Ward than Taylor currently is. Even today Pavlik is a better opponet on paper for Ward than Taylor is.

Maybe if you go back a few fights but I think Taylor has the better recent win (over Truax who recently beat Don George).

To be fair, it would arguably be a little cruel to put Taylor or Pavlik in with Ward.

Ward better do whatever is necessary to go get that big fight so he can start making some real money. Floyd traveled to go fight Arturo. He went up in weight and glove size, etc, to fight Oscar. He went up in weight to fight Cotto. And now he's meeting Canelo in the middle in their fight. All of these were huge payday's for Floyd and help cement his place as the PPV King.

Anyone? What has Ward done to do the same? He seems like he's comfy at his weight and unwilling to go get the big fights. Sorry, Ward has skill obviously, but he's not a big Box Office draw yet, and imo, there is a reason for that. His opponents have ****** and his personality is vanilla.

There's a big party happening in boxing right now, and he's the dude looking in the window from outside watching all the fun. Shame on either him or his manager.

I remember watching a B-Hop interview where he said Taylor couldn't pass the athletic commission's tests, and it wouldn't surprise me.
