Say what? Who's to say that GBP/Showtime aren't the ones keepig their guys away from all these guys? Come on now...

Shafikov FYI already called out Broner and this was BEFORE he signed with TR and he was a #1 contender and you heard absolutely no response from Broners team, and this was when broner was publicly saying he needs an opponent at 135.

They already kept Hopkins away from Kovalev, etc....

Stop with the bias. You **** ride gbp/showtime so much and you don't even know what you're talking about when you do (no hate)

Facts show that showtime/gbp are the ones keeping their fighters away from others. When was the last time GBP matched any of their fighters against a fighter who ISNT with golden boy, who actually had a pulse and was there to win? Never. Unless you think Gavin Rees and lee Purdy are world beaters (lol)

Meanwhile top rank is matching their fighters with ruslan Provodnikov and co promoting shows with golovkin.

Like I said, stop the bull**** and propaganda

GBP made a public offer to Top Rank for Nonito Donaire's services, to set up a fight against Abner Mares.

Until I see Top Rank make a similar offer I'll keep calling it like it is.

GBP also said Kovalev was too unknown of a fighter to face Betnard Hopkins.

........ Then proceeded to sign a deal to fight the low-risk Karo Murat to fight Hopkins.

        Next..

I don't care about Top Rank. My response to you wasn't about Top rank and them protecting their figthers. It was about GBP keeping away and protecting their fighters.

I don't think that was protection, Donaire would have much rather faced Mares than Rigo. That offer was sketchy as hell, $3m to Donaire, then they turn around to pay Mares 375k

Is this dude legit??? never seen him fight before....

I love the fact that international guys are getting signed...
Boxing is a world wide sport, so the fighters and fights should represent it that way..
thats why i like mma so much because you get to see talent from all over the world and not just north america and europe.....
Signing international fighters is a great move and is great for the sport of boxing.... hope the trend continues

I think he's legit and a very good boxer. Rahimov should of been a decent test for him and he got severely outclassed.

I don't doubt that GBP didnt want Kovalev to face Hopkins, but it was Kovalev that decided to fight Cleverly.

Karo Murat was the mandatory first, before Kovalev. Kovalev only moved into that spot when Murat had visa issues.

And GBP signed to fight Murat only after Kovalev signed to fight Cleverly.

Lastly, Shafikov had been fighting at 140 for years then suddenly moved down to 135 and called out Broner out of the blue. There's no way he was in the mix to get that bout.
