Thurman is favorite BUT... Dulorme was also a heavy favorite against Abregu (whom the writer forgot to mention) and Abregu KOd him with ease.

Chaves will KO Thurman, 100% sure. Thurman is just another Al Haymon false alarm.

It seems to be a pretty even fight butthe reality is that Thurman never fought anyone for real yet, its all been fodder to build up his hype Al Haymon style, the one somewhat real fight he failed to impress.
Chaves has an old school technique that may seem poor to the younger kids, he doesnt jump around like a monkey on heroin but there's boxing skills in what he does and has been improving in his latest fights.
I go with Chaves because of that, he hasnt been spoon fed tomato cans like al Haymon projects and he's the most proven of the two.
          Are you ****ting me?

Thurman's opposition has been head and shoulders above Chaves.

Chaves is actually a pretty good boxer aside from his power so i agree. He uses his jab and sets up shots. Im thinking thurman will catch an L.

Anyone know why Chavez hasn't fought in 10 months?

If he's been knockin guys out in 3 rds or less his last few fights, they should have been tryin to get him back in the ring immediately. Especially at WW where it might take a while to make a name for yourself.

Geez. U tryin to get Ortiz killed? If Josesito broke his jaw, He might die in the ring if he fights Thurman.

Chaves was Paulie mandatory. He was training for that title fight, but the bout wasn't agreed. Negotiations started again and he was back to the gym. It seemed the fight would take place in Dubai. But GBP wanted Broner - Malignaggi, so it was not possible. GBP offered Thurman - Chaves and here we are. Chaves has the best training of his life, but he has not fought for quite a time.

He Looked Horrible In His Last FIGHT! He Hits Hard, But He's Not Ready For Prime Time

He's a hard puncher and there are many out there. He needs to beat a top contender before he's marquee for the Welterweight Division. He's not close yet. Looking tough and beating nobody credible, doesn't warrant you ruling the division!
