You know what I was thinking about today, not to kill the topic, I was thinking about Matthysse vs. Pacquiao and Marquez, got a weird sensation thinking about how action packed those fights would be, how shitty can this sport be at times.

Pacquiao would have beaten Castillo, would have been a fun fight to watch. It sucks that we didn't get to see more of Pacquiao at 135 and 140, at times you think the Oscar fight did him well but maybe it didn't, maybe we would have seen better fights?

No one was in a big hurry to move up from 130 to fight this tougH HOMBRE who was the best lightweight of his era. Only clear loss in his prime was rematch with Mayweather the best boxer of the era and best puncher chico who he beat in a rematch. PAC isn't the puncher chico was or the boxer Mayweather was so it would have been a war. Either PAC man stops him on cuts or losses in the late rounds by stoppage in a great affair. Castillo is a slow starter but was great at cutting off the ring and doing good work mid range or inside mixing it up to the head and body. His chin and heart in his prime was awesome. He had skills to over come the better boxers like Joel, and Johnston also Diaz , with underrated defense. This is 50/50 fight IMO I would have favored Castillo over the great 130 foursome of Morales, Barrera, and Marquez at his best ...PAC had the best shot to win

It's his inside work that would be troubling for Pacquiao, but ultimately I feel Manny digs deep and pulls it off. Castillo was a beast but he struggled with southpaws, I know Pacquiao ain't Casamayor or Johnston but it's worth noting.

              Pac destroys him.

Go watch Casamayor/Castillo and now picture more punches hitting Castillo.

PAC went for the money and glory but his best weights would have been 135/140 also he did fight big names at welterweight but he would have had a longer prime and had big fights with Castillo, Hatton right after he got the title at 140, guys like Garcia and Lucas today era other guys like Campbell Juan Diaz at 135....140 has always been a deep weight class

Anybody who comes forward with pac without Pernell whitaker type defense gets bludgeoned. You just dont fight pac that way. Don't get me wrong castillo was a good boxer but he was no marquez. His game was to get inside and work and to get inside of pac's range you are going to take punishment.

Pac's speed would have been too much for castillo. It would be a hell of a fight but style wise castillo cant **** with pac.

Ridiculous. Pac and Casa fight nothing alike whatsoever.

Still, I think Pac cuts him up but not b4 Castillo ****s his body up. It would be a fun, competitive fight but Castillo was always prone to cuts.
