there is no "possible" argument because hes not HOF worthy.

Bullcrap. If Gatti got in, Cotto's definitely getting in.

On one hand you have Mayweather......who hardly anyone says had solid wins against Manfredy (#2 130), Corley (#6 140), Gatti (#1/2 140), Baldomir (RING WW), Judah (#5 147)......but people turn around and say Pinto, Quintana, Torres, Paulie, and all these guys were good wins for Cotto.

C'mon.....there's clearly a double standard there.

          The size is what's concerning

Cotto was not able to bully and push Trout around on the inside which is a good tactic he has when he wants to pin his opponents on the ropes and tee off..but I was watching Trout-Rodriguez and they were both pretty much the same size

So Cotto may need a different plan of attack and not try to bully cuz Delvin is a pretty big guy

you know he's a lock for the HOF though, provided he doesn't box for too long and ruin his reputation

And Cotto's getting into the HOF, but I don't know if he truly deserves it.

Early 2008, Mayweather wanted no parts of Cotto and tried to fight a rematch with ODLH instead before he retired. He said, Cotto's fan base wasn't big enough for a fight.

If we're looking at "at the time" and not retrospectively, which anyone can do, Cotto was obviously on to something before he ran into the plaster man.

And I didn't even like Cotto and still don't to some extent. But if we're being objective here, Stevie Wonder can see this.

Cotto will get in on popularity but he doesn't deserve to be in the HOF

It's a clear Castillo win for me.

Even Corrales has R. Garcia, Manfredy, Castillo, Casamayor, Gainer, and Freitas. Pretty similar to Cotto's best wins in terms of quality.
Are we counting his "win" over Mayweather? I'm not going to, he didn't technically win that fight. Castillo's wins are over good fighters, but are they a level up, other than Corrales and Casamayor? No, they're good mid level fighters, the ones you say Cotto's resume is filled with. Mosley is the best win on either fighter's resume, excluding Mayweather.

Corrales' best wins are not close to the Mosley win in terms of quality. They are about equal to Clottey or Quintana wins.

Cotto beat Bazan too, that isn't a particulary impressive win for Castillo.

if Gatti's in it, then it just shows how low the HOF has sunken in recent years by lowering its standards.

"if hes in it, why cant he get in?" this is what the HOF has become, a complete joke.
