Mayweather & Arum have one thing in common. Neither wanted the Pacquiao matchup. I believe Arum orchestrated that Bradley loss to stop all talk about that matchup. Arum's a snake...just like all promoters.

You are completely missing the point, and totally wrong
Yeah thats fine that he already signed to fight judah,,,, what about when floyd fought baldomir, arum was offering him 9 million which would have been a career high payday and instead floyd took the baldomir fight....
I wanna know why floyd refused to do business with Arum (some have already posted good info) and why did he retire twice?????Comment

Arum was offering 8 not 9. The same he made for Baldomir. and baldomir actually had better wins than margarito had at that pointYou are completely missing the point, and totally wrong

How much sense does it make to exaggerate facts in a thread where all the facts have been laid out? Really? You are completely missing the point, and totally wrong

No he earned 25 million for that fight and De La Hoya earned like 52 million, not sure about guarantees, but after that fight Floyd was earning more than 20 million in his next fights.Comment

He was originally signed to fight Judah. Judah lost his fight but he had already signed the fight. After the Judah fight Floyd left Arum as he would not guarantee him $20mil for the Oscar fight, it has nothing to do with Tony. Arum basically offered Floyd a Tony fight for $8mil and Floyd said he wanted Oscar for $20mil and Arum said no, that the fight is not worth $20mil, Mayweather disagreed and bought out his contract to chase the Oscar fight. After he split from Arum he could no longer make fights with TR as their relationship had soured. Him leaving TR had nothing to do with Tony. Him fighting Baldomir had nothing to do with Tony. Tony was just a proposed fight by Arum. Floyd thought he could make silly money fighting Oscar instead but TR wouldn't let him so he left. It is that simple. There is no running scared, there is no cowardice... just Floyd chasing Hoya in the same way everyone chases Floyd now or in the same way people chased Manny to the point where they left GBP and signed with TR to make the fight. Can you see the similarity? I can.You are completely missing the point, and totally wrong

Good post,,, Yes i see the similiarities,,, I just wonder why floyd refuses to work at all with TR when Arum even said there was no hard feelings and it was a business decision nothing personal.... But then why does floyd refuse to work with them at all??? Floyd a free agent and wont work with TR even though TR would have given him the biggest payday in the history of the sport,, etc... Thats what i dont understand about the whole floyd-TR beef... I understand that buying out his contract allowed Floyd to make big bucks with Oscar and propelled him to the top of the money, but then why doesnt he work with arum for the manny, or maybe a bradley fight etc....He was originally signed to fight Judah. He was willing to put that aside and work w/ them for the Manny fight, but was made to look like he was scared and being unreasonable by Arum for doing the exact same thing that they feel is just fine today.Good post,,, Yes i see the similiarities,,, I just wonder why floyd refuses to work at all with TR when Arum even said there was no hard feelings and it was a business decision nothing personal.... Later Arum created more propaganda w/ his countdown clock when Floyd taking time off. Creating the illusion that
1. Pac had accepted drug testing terms when it was later proven that he STILL hadn't
2. That somehow Mayweather was avoiding Pac, when Floyd was the one that was willing to compromise to make the fight, while Pac was unwilling.Comment

To answer the TS, I just hate Arum. No problem with TR from me.
As for Floyd fighting Baldomir instead of Margarito, I don't get all the fuss. Baldomir was seen as the legit WW champion and he made the same amount of money. If Floyd wanted to be the legit champ at 147 why would he have fought Margarito?Comment
