The reports you have quoted as well as early Arum beliefs show later personal Mayweather and De La Hoya biases and their reasons for being so have been clear for years. I feel that your reports are selective, not one of them being a pro Top Rank one. For example did you look up Top Rank sues Oscar or Arum sues Mayweather etc. Either of these could just as easily have been the cause of the rancor between them.
It seems one-sided to me. I grew up in Dublin Ireland where we had to sneak our way home from school by back lane-ways, or have to fight through a throng of boys from the nearby Christian Brothers School, and later, although very prominent in several sports locally and much reported, I was refused membership in clubs I thought to join..... I could quote a "hundred" (figuratively) examples some of which you wouldn't believe.
I suppose it has made me a little sensitive... not to mention the little matter of the after War revelation of what happened to ***s in Europe. (which was actually known as early as 1941 but kept secret) And it happened after the War too when those who survived went back home to claim their stolen homes.
Apropos of this. A close friend with whom I grew up, now living in New York, plus several others, attempted ( it took over 50 years to get the court to even hear it) about 10 years ago to reclaim a huge very select complete apartment and business block in Warsaw their families had owned before the War, in Warsaw High Court. They had all the relevant property title deeds given to them by parents before they were smuggled out in the Kindertransport. The parents and extended families ......... Anyway, they were turned down flat. They lost the case almost as quickly as the judges could open their mouths. This was par for the course. I'm sure it must be on the internet. My friend sent me a copy of all the legal documents-this was before the case was "heard".
Apropos this (again) I apologise for mentioning this last matter; it has nothing to do with our difference of opinion which began over "boxing"..
