Judah and Devon already beat him, most people felt he beat Devon and Judah, but i only seen the Judah fight,so i could only comment on the Judah fight and i felt Judah won clearly. And a lot of people felt that Mathysse fight with Devon was close. Now just imagine when Mathysse fights someone with good boxing skills and a lot of speed?I`m calling it right now,Broner and Mayweather beats him in a 1 sided fight then the excuses start flying that Mathysse was too small and that Broner and Floyd only fights small fighters. Then people will claim they both are ducking Andre Ward.

Matthysse is very sound from a technical point of view, and his defense is critically underrated around here. He catches shots on his gloves with the best of them, but idiots like you don't give him any credit for his defense because it's not a "flashy" style.

i started at the bold. that's where it got juicy.

while i wouldn't call matthysse "very technically sound," he's not a sloppy fighter. he has flung himself onto the canvas a few times. he throws shortish hooks and a very straight right hand. he might not be pernell whitaker, but he rarely gets hit flush. judah hit him flush a few times, as did soto. he literally smiled at judah.

i think danny is going to get worn down late and stopped in a terrific fight. i am going to be there.

You and others on this board proudly parade a racist killer on ya`ll sigs to try piss people off and to show your happiness that he got away with murder but yet, you say i`m pulling out the race card. When Berto,Paul Williams, and James Kirkland was ko`ing everybody left and right,i would constantly read comments from people that they have no defense and that they are over-hyped blah blah blah, and you know what? They were right. But Mathysse and Golovkin who have terrible defense and limited boxing skills get praised to high heaven.I didn`t pull out the race card,i pull out the facts card, you pulled out the race card, and i`m glad i got under your skin lol.

You mistake Mathysse`s catching punches with is head with catching punches with his gloves.Just because he caught a few punches with his gloves don`t mean he has good defense or high level boxing skills.Mathysse got hit a lot by Ajose and Judah.

He's prone to bouts of over-excitement (see the Peterson fight when he flung himself to the floor with that hook), but overall, I stand by my statement that Matty's a technically sound fighter. He mixes up his punches well, has shown a solid jab against Judah and Alexander, goes to the body better than probably anybody else in the sport right now, and he's rarely ever hit flush, as you said.

Unfortunately, idiots in NSB think you need a shoulder roll in order to be considered a defensively sound fighter. You don't have to be flashy to be a great defensive fighter.

The klit brothers don`t use the shoulder roll and they got good boxing skills and good defense,so don`t assume that i only think fighters that use shoulder rolls are the only ones that have good boxing skills.just because Mathysse has a jab and mixes up his punches that don`t mean he`s very technically sound. He gets hit a lot, sometimes throw wide punches leaving himself open for short punches in between,he`s flat footed and telegraphs a lot of his punches.

Mathysse lost at least 7-8 rounds to Judah, while Floyd only lost 3-4.One of those rounds Floyd lost was because Floyd coasted cause he had the fight in the bag.And Floyd fought a younger and prime Judah.
